Is your business accredited?
If you are already an accredited employer there is a deadline of 31 October 2021 to move staff (paid $79,560 or more per annum) onto Work to Residence visas. After November 1 Work to Residence Visas will be limited to only those who earn double the median wage.
Check the expiry date on your accreditation certificate: If accreditation expires before 31 October 2021 you have until 30 June 2021 to apply for renewal. At the end of this month, applications to renew accreditation (along with new applications) close until the new system goes live in late September. Current accredited employers are expected to roll into the new system once it goes live.
If your business is not accredited, it will need to be after 1 November 2021 if you want to keep employing or recruiting temporary migrant workers. Now is the time to get your business ready for these new requirements. Malcolm Pacific Immigration can help with an immigration health check for your business. Just get in touch.
We are still waiting for the government to announce the new application fees along with filling information gaps due to final decisions not being made. More detail is expected in August.
