Christmas is now for visas… but it’s only August!
Anyone planning to be in New Zealand over the summer (anytime from December 2024 to February 2025) should apply for their visa now. Immigration NZ (INZ) will not guarantee that a visa lodged after 01/10/2024 will be processed in time for people to arrive in December.
INZ will have plenty of staff taking holidays over the summer. The holiday period always blows out visa processing times. It makes sense to get ready now and apply to avoid disappointment.
